Art inspired by the power and beauty of everyday women.

One thing I noticed about much art featuring women is how removed it was from real women it was. I have nothing against fantasy and idealistic art and it's ilk. But why did so much seem to feature a very narrow selection of ages and shapes, and why was it so heavily sexualised? So I started creating my own, often with reference help from my partner and a small tribe of local volunteers aged from 20-60, art rooted in each woman's own personal and cultural background. 
What happened next? Women loved it, they connected with what I was striving for. They wanted to commision their own Art & Photography from me. But they also wanted it more spicy, and more sensual and definitely more nude, but on their own terms. That's how our Goddess Portaits came into reality.
During lockdown I started the 21 day Goddess Sketch Challenge which was so popular, it ended up being about 56 women before I brought it to a close.
It lead to me adding the Boudoir and more sensual themes to my usual art practice, on request.
Most of my work these days are portraits and nude paintings and drawings inspired by our small team of Body Love ambassadors.

My nude work is focussed on celebrating body positivity and diverse beauty. Since taking on boudoir photography, it has opened up a whole world of female sexuality and self expression yet to be explored in my art.

Many women come to celebrate themselves and reclaim parts of their bodies they are less comfortable showing. We use fabrics to reveal just enough to be cathartic for each person.
