Historically, there's been a shortage of great designs for bigger-busted women. I recall from my lingerie advertising days. Thankfully, times have changed. These days, there are so many more lingerie and nightwear options available for women of all shapes and sizes. I’ve purchased quite a few pieces for our boudoir studio as and when requested. Many of those lingerie brands are mentioned throughout our site. Others were worn by clients, our curvy models, and #brabassadors. This post celebrates those fantastic brands that cater to curvy, plus-size women—whether you’re searching for lingerie boutiques in London, a lingerie shop in London, or simply exploring London lingerie stores for that perfect fit.

Utterly wonderful lingerie and swimwear where everything is hand-made to order to your individual shape in Hackney, London (recently moved to Black Horse Road, Walthamstow). From romantic to quirky to sizzling and spicy, if you’re looking for bras and knickers from heaven, this is the place. Hugely popular with our clients, especially for the spicier and erotic lines of lingerie and bodysuits. If you’re looking to add a little extra steaminess to your photo sessions, they are definitely worth a look. Ann Summers offers a decent range of lingerie and swimwear for curvy women up to 2XX (size 20-22), including plus-size and extended sizes. Their reputation for erotic toys and women-friendly stores is also a bonus. I'm not sure if it's the Fifty Shades of Grey effect, but much of our growing range of studio accessories (cuffs, spreaders, body chains, etc.) comes from Ann Summers—perfect for those who appreciate plus-size erotic underwear, and more erotica studio photoshoots.
Bare Necessities:
Offers a wide range of lingerie and swimwear for curvy women, including plus-size options and extended sizes. Their selection is perfect for those seeking lingerie for larger women, offering both comfort and style.
Harlox & Fox:
Luxurious lingerie made from the finest silks, satins, and lace. They specialise in curvy goddesses and bra sizes above DD, with custom-made options available on order. I have a few sample sets in the studio, and I can attest to the exquisite feel of the fabrics and the craftsmanship. Quality lingerie you can see AND feel. Bravissimo: Specialises in lingerie for curvy women and larger bust sizes (up to cup size L) with a focus on fit and everyday comfort. They offer a bra-fitting service, and the day I visited, the staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The bras provide excellent shape and support, and the satin finishes photograph beautifully—perfect for a plus-size boudoir photoshoot.
Curvy Couture: Specialises in lingerie for curvy women, focusing on fit, comfort, and style.
Uplifted lingerie:
Their sole goal is to provide an extensive collection of beautiful bras available in all sizes and styles to help you find the perfect fit. They stock many plus-size and curvy brands up to cup size L.
Elomi Lingerie:
Specialises in lingerie and swimwear for curvy women, with a wide range of styles and sizes for D-K cup sizes.
Hips & Curves: Offers a wide range of lingerie and swimwear for curvy women, including plus-size options and extended sizes.
Playful Promises: We absolutely love the range of beautiful designs, known for its vibrant and bold designs, catering to a wide range of sizes, and focus on body positivity. Their collections include a range of styles, including bras, knickers, corsets, and hosiery, with bold prints, bright colours, and unique designs. The Gabi Fresh, Felicity Hayward & Fuller Figure Fuller Bust ranges. They also offer a range of sustainable, ethically made products.
Love Honey:
yes they have a fairly decent collection, including wet-look and sheer up to size 30 "Chosen for curvy figures, our plus and large size lingerie and underwear selection features flattering designs from the world's sexiest brands."
Alternatively, I recently discovered
Madalynne Intimates, a women-owned, Philadelphia-based, custom-made, and DIY kit brand. Not UK-based, but the base designs are really, really pretty, so I thought it was worth sneaking in. Besides, I get quite a few clients from the states, so who knows :).
These are just some of the UK's best lingerie stores for curvy women. Still, it's important to note that other terrific options are available. I'll hopefully add to the list of luxury and independent brands, and I'll update this post as I get a chance. Well-fitting lingerie is always lovely to have when creating beautiful boudoir photography. I have noticed many clients are squeezing into the maximum K-cup sizes; still, I'm not too sure where anyone goes for pretty lingerie sizes K, L, M, O, and above. It must be getting close to 95% or more of clients choosing to go nude, whether body love confidence or more sensual and free expression. It has been very interesting, that although clients often bring dozens of cute lingerie outfits, often they are just launching points to a freer form of expression.
There are a thousand ways to express and capture erotic themes and sensuality—through movement, light, texture, and emotion. One thing people don’t always realise about boudoir sessions? They are not all serious affairs. There is a LOT of laughing, unexpected moments, and the very rare wardrobe situations. They are celebrations of you, and especially birthdays, often there’s cake and balloons and the occasional glass of Prosecco too.

Our philosophy is if you've got curves, why not lean in to it, celebrate those curves and your voluptuous self. That said, some poses, especially the sensual nudes can be quite challenging for the fuller busted woman for keeping everything in place. I've worked with hundreds of larger busted women over the last few years and the 'boob drop' when the bra comes off can be a concern for some. Not to worry, for added perkiness we've developed a few poses and tips and tricks to help things along. At the end of the day it's not possible to recreate the bounce of plastic, a little humour and patience goes a long way while we settle the 'girls' in for each set of photos :). And obviously we do encourage everyone to embrace what they are blessed with. And then of course we have lingerie, yay!
