A day in the life of an art nude & intimate portrait photographer
Behind the scenes of a typical shoot session. After you are welcomed in, the first thing we discuss is your ideas and then we get you looked after with our lovely hair and make up artist. Asma is applying a body sheen to Lucy for an added glow.
Working with 'everyday' non models and boudoir means we've added a new category of photography, the 'implied nude'. Where you might pose with a satin sheet or a cello. The beauty of it is, often, you don't have to even be fully naked at all. I always recommend packing a couple of pairs of thongs or g-strings for just the occasion 👑
Up until this point working with fashion and art models, it wasn't a thing, it was just part of the job. Lucy is demonstrating perfectly how a victorian inspired lace shrug can be used to create implied nude images. Most of the time we use implied to hide area you are less confident showing while highlighting the parts you love.
Boudoir and art nudes for clients is a million miles from when I was a creative director in advertising, here my approach is very relaxed and conversational, very much one to one.
Most of my client work is private these days, when I'm not doing that, I like to carry on with my goal of creating body positive art nudes celebrating everyday women and body diversity, look out for our specially priced body positive sessions.
We also do body positive group days for charity.
If you feel like you have the confidence to join our squad of goddess ambassadors like Clio, Lucy and Jillian you're welcome to apply by email in the first instance and get on the body loving wait list.
